Okay, i just got off the phone with my internet provider’s customer support, asking what the hell is happening there and why i can’t access anything? They told me to reboot the modem or just wait, and let them made some report for my complaint.
Duh? I don’t need them to make me a complaint report cause i just did complaint, and i don’t want to waste more time waiting! I’m on a deadline here, man! And i can’t get it done if i don’t have any internet connection to upload it and get it online!
Just when i’m about to smash the modem to a wall, my brother called. He invited me to his apartment, to try his new internet connection which he claimed to be a super high-speed internet one. And i said yes, then hung-up the phone, packed my laptop and insanely full-throttled to my brother’s. Crossed few reds, but hell i don’t care. Said to myself: “Gimme speeding tickets or event impound my bike, but just let me upload my work first!”
Sigh. Story of my life.
Arrived at my brother’s apartment, i burst inside without knocking and said
“Ask your questions later, but now please help me upload my work! Please, man. My client is waiting!”
And he answered “Whoa .. Okay, relax dude .. just give me one minute to set things up.”
And he did. One minute later, i’m online and uploading. What shocks me more was my data is pretty big, and it was uploaded in less than 3 minutes. Seriously. I was shock. After catching my breath and slow my heartbeat that was faster than a grinding drum of a hardcore music, i called my client and spent few minutes confirming some stuff. And, it’s done. They like the result, and i’ll get the fee transferred right away.
Phew.
“Thanks, dude. I really appreciate the help. That was my client back there, and they said that they love their new website. And also they like me cause i was able to get it done on time. Thanks to you.” I said to my brother.
“Dude, my pleasure. And congrats to the job.” He replied and smile.
“So anyway, what’s with this new provider? Cause, it’s really fast, man. I mean, mine could never upload such a huge data that fast.” I asked him.
“Oh, it’s hughesnet. I bet you already heard of them.” He replied again.
“What? Seriously?”
“Yep. Well, if you must know, i was worried too. Since none of our friend use it because they said it’s only great for browsing, the download rate sucks, bla bla bla. Won’t give any good for us web developers and programmers. But now, both of us have proved how fast they are. So, i think i’m sticking with them.” He explained.
“Yeah, but how come it’s so fast, man? Like couple times faster from mine. Is it a new technology they’ve been using or what?”
“I don’t know. It’s a satellite internet just like the others, i guess, but i just know that it’s fast and reliable. And that’s all i need to know.”
Our talk goes on and on, and finally i spent the rest of my day there, talking a lot of stuff with him. He’s a cool brother, a genius web programmer, and a talented designer.
Now i don’t know with you guys, but as far as the internet is concerned, Reliability is numero uno! I mean, number one! No matter if you’re just a regular chatter or an online shopper, a web programmer, developer, designer, blogger, or an internet marketer, the most thing you need is a reliable internet provider with a stable and fast internet connection. Right, people?
